How to make spinach risotto

Then we are going to propose a different recipe in which the traditional elaboration is followed but it is innovated by adding an ingredient that, usually, is not within the recipe: spinach. It is a delicious dish and, in addition, very nutritious in which vitamins and properties of spinach are incorporated, a very favorable vegetable for the proper functioning of our body.   • 390 grams of rice
  • 1 onion
  • 325 grams of spinach
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 glass of white wine
  • Grated cheese
  • Salt
  • Ground pepper

The first thing we will do to prepare our delicious spinach risotto is to take the spinach, put them in a strainer and wash them with cold water to eliminate bacteria and chemical residues. Then you will have to peel and chop the garlic clove into small pieces so that it integrates perfectly with the other ingredients.


We pour some oil in a pan and when it is hot, add the garlic (the fire should be at medium temperature to prevent burning). When you see that garlic begins to brown, it is time to add spinach to the pan and sauté it with the garlic for about 3 or 5 minutes. Then remove from heat and put them in the blender or crusher to get them cut into very small pieces and integrate with rice.


Now, we will have to peel and cut the onion into small pieces and put the pan back on the fire with a little oil (you don't need to use another one, so the flavors will intermingle). When it's hot, add the onion and when it's golden brown we will add the raw rice to the pan; we will sauté next to the onion for 2 minutes and then we will take the glass of white wine while stirring.


After 2 minutes, we will have to add some water, enough to cover the rice; we will add salt and pepper to taste and let the rice be made. You will have to keep checking the water level and when you see that there is little left, add more to prevent burning. When you see that the rice is in its texture, turn off and let it sit for 5 minutes so that it has that texture so characteristic of the spinach risotto.


Then, you just have to sprinkle a little grated cheese above and enjoy a delicious dish, with a creamy texture and a very nutritious content perfect for the whole family. Take advantage!
