How to prepare chicken with almonds


In this article we explain how to prepare Chicken with almonds, but before a little history about this dish. Medium difficulty Ingredients:
  • 1 chicken of 1 kg and quarter
  • 2 dl dry white wine
  • Flour
  • 2 cl aromatic sherry
  • 2 dl of milk
  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • Fresh herbs (mint and parsley)
  • 1 large tomato
  • 100 g of peeled and crushed almonds
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • 1 bay leaf, 1/2 teaspoon of herbs (marjoram and thyme)

It cleans the chicken, it is removed if there is any remaining feather and chopped into four parts, the meat is boneless, seasoned and sprinkled with flour.


Then the pieces of the fry are fried chicken until golden brown, approximately in 20 minutes. The potatoes are then peeled and cut into strips and fried. Once fried they are put in a clay pot along with the chicken pieces.


In a separate pan, fry, chopped onions, 4 crushed garlic cloves and diced and diced tomatoes. Saffron, bay leaf, dried herbs and almonds, with wine and milk.


When the sauce is ready, pour it over the chicken and potatoes, and the casserole is placed in the oven at 200ºC for 20 minutes.


The remaining two cloves of garlic and fresh herbs are irrigated with sherry, leaving it in marinade for about 10 minutes, and finally it is poured over the almond chicken before serving
