First, the lentils are soaked for 4 or 5 hours.


Then drain them and put them in a clay pot, with warm water.


Then add the chopped onion, the tomato divided into four pieces, the oil. Unpeeled garlic, sliced ​​bacon, bay leaf and season with salt and pepper.


Cover the casserole with a lid filled with water.


Let cook slowly about 3 hours.


When cooked, the garlic, bay leaf and tomato skin are removed and the stewed lentils can be served.
